Happy Friday to all! 

This week zipped on by.  I just thought I'd share with you, my new wheels.  I was lucky enough to acquire a slightly used, but new to me, Beach Cruiser.  So excited to take it for a spin down the boardwalk!

Hollywood Beach Boardwalk

This is the boardwalk on the beach near my house.  Its lined with restaurants, bars and shops.  There is also an outdoor pavilion where live bands perform 3-4 nights a week.

Starting to get the hang of this

I'm beginning to get a grasp on this blogging thing - it's kind of fun!  I've added some gadgets and new pages today.  Feel free to take a look at the new info - enjoy.

First Timer

Hi - I'm Amanda and welcome to my first blog attempt!  I apologize as this is still under construction!  I was pondering over what to call my blog, when I decided on Tropical Nut - I love to travel, I live in the tropics (South Florida at least) and some times I can be a bit of a nut!  So, there you have it!

A little about me...I grew up in a military family and was schlepped around from Navy base to Navy base every couple of years.  I personally loved it!  I got to meet new people and have had the pleasure of seeing the majority of the United States.  How many people can honestly say they have been to the Corn Palace in Mitchell, South Dakota?!

Moving on, having lived in a variety of places, I consider San Diego home as I lived there the most number of times and still have family there.  I attended San Diego State University and am now tackling my Master's!  I also relocated to Florida about 8 years ago and absolutely love it!
